Founded over thirteen years ago the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (Manchester) has established itself as the premier institute for Indian Arts and Culture in the Manchester Area and a leading institute in the North West.
We offer a unique opportunity to appreciate the music, dance, drama and languages of India as well as philosophy, including yoga and meditation, with a wide range of regular classes and seminars conducted by the Bhavan's own teachers and by visiting scholars.
As a focal point of Indian Culture, there are regular performances by eminent overseas and local artists.
The Bhavan is a cultural centre, not a religious or political institution and is open to all who are interested in Indian Arts and Culture. Annual Student Performance on the 8th May 2010 was a great success. An audience of nearly 200 people made up of fathers, mothers, grand-parents friends and well wishers were enthralled by the performance on stage by the students of the Bhavan at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys.
