Our trustees serving Bhavan

Bharatkumar Sisodia

Having a keen interest in music from early age and joining school band etc, Bharatji is a longstanding active member of Bhavan. Initially taking up charge as the Registrar of Bhavan, Bharatji has served Bhavan in his capacity as Vice Chairman, Chairman and currently serving as a Trustee. He is also serving as the President and Chair of Board of Trustees of the Indian Association Oldham, and has served as a Director of Asian Business Association. 
 
Bharatji is rendering his voluntary services as being an active member of several other charity organisations. He has been serving in the UK Judiciary system since 1990 as a Magistrate and seating as one of the Justices on appeal hearings at the Crown Court.Bharatji’s contribution has been extremely beneficial to Bhavan’s progress.

Kamlesh Rajput

Kamlesh Rajput is the founder and chairman of Sterling Finance Group. Sterling Finance UK Limited is a Chartered Certified Accountancy and business advisory practice. He is recognised and respected nationally and internationally as a major force in finance, tax consultancy and corporate legal compliance services. He has received several awards including British Accountancy Award, Accountancy Excellence, Dale Carnegie Institute, Pride of Tameside and Greater Manchester Asian Business Leaders.
 
He has served in advisory position within Education, Culture & community organisations; including serving as General Secretary of Indian Association Tameside, president of Gujarati Rajput Samaj and President of ACCA [Association of Chartered Certified Accountant] Manchester Member’s Panel.  He is a Trustee of our organisation.

Pravinbhai Joshi

Pravinbhai, the longest serving member on the Management Committee of Bhavan, has contributed immensely over the years as a Treasurer and currently serving as a Trustee of Bhavan.  Having established successful business in Manchester, Pravinbhai has been one of the persons responsible for keeping Bhavan’s finances in a healthy state.  
 
Being past President of Indian Association Manchester and President of Brahm Samaj Manchester, Pravinbhai continues to serve selflessly for the welfare of the community.

Prof. Geetha Upadhyaya

Born in India, Geethaji obtained her MBBS., MD (Medicine) and her Ph.D from Madras University. She worked in India and Malaysia as a Prof of Metabolic Medicine before joining the NHS UK as a Consultant. Currently she is a visiting Professor at the Leeds Beckett University.

With her post graduate degree (Vidvat) in classical Indian dance and music, Geethaji has been teaching and performing Bharatanatyam over 30 years across India, Sri Lanka, USA and UK.  She had been Bhavan’s teacher during early years and is a founder member of Kala Sangam (Bradford). She is also, an Advisor of Axxonet Global Ltd, UK, Asian Lite newspaper, Trustee of Sanjeevani Health Care Trust, India, and Kashi Kalash, India which promotes the rich heritage of Varanasi.

Geethaji has been on many educational, artistic, health and cultural diversity boards. She received her OBE award for her work in Cultural Diversity, Vibhuti Foundation’s Niramaya Award, Yorkshire’s Champion for Cultural Harmony, Bradford University’s Cultural diversity award and Doctorate of Letters and the Bangladesh government’s Begum Rokeya award for Cultural Heritage and diversity.
